National Windscreens is reminding motorists about the importance of maintaining a clear windscreen to show its support for Road Safety Week 2014, which starts today.
Organised by lead charity BRAKE, Road Safety Week is the UK’s largest road safety event and aims to inspire communities, schools and organisations to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the week and beyond.
This year’s theme ‘Look out for each other’ focuses on the importance of taking the time to drive more carefully and slowly, in order to put safety first and reduce the risk of accidents.
Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Martyn Bennett, comments, “Many motorists underestimate how important a clear windscreen is for road safety and in many instances will happily drive around with windscreen obstructions such as dirty marks, scratches or cracks obscuring their view of the road.
“National Windscreens is encouraging all motorists to look out for each other by taking the time to clean their windscreen and check for any small chips or cracks to ensure they are dealt with as quickly as possible.”
In many cases, for clients with fully comprehensive insurance, chip repairs can be undertaken for free or alternatively if glass cover is not included, at a very competitive price at one of National Windscreens 108 fitting centres located throughout the UK or by a mobile glazing technician.
