Cardiff fitting centre leads the way in South Wales

The recently opened National Windscreens fitting centre in Cardiff has taken windscreen repair and replacement to new heights, with purpose designed facilities for vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology.

Cyril Getlevog, regional operations director, comments: “The Cardiff fitting centre has brought new levels of service to customers in South Wales. The centre boasts five fitting bays, with space for more in the future. This ensures our highly trained technicians, using the latest ADAS calibration equipment, can continue to meet the substantial demand in this area.”

Following windscreen replacement, it is necessary to re-calibrate ADAS to ensure the vehicle safety systems are still working as intended. Over the last five years, National Windscreens has invested heavily in its UK infrastructure to service the increasing number of vehicles with ADAS systems.

“This new centre is located at the Capital Business Park, providing easy access for customers. The reception room has comfortable seating with free Wi-Fi, desks, and coffee. EV charging is also available, all part of the first-class service we want to provide,” said Cyril.

Andy Rae, UK operations director, said: “The Cardiff centre is the latest example of National Windscreens vision of modern aftermarket windscreen repair.

“The continued proliferation of EVs, with the inherent complexity of these vehicles, means the aftermarket glazing market must provide technical capability and investment in technology at levels never seen before in this sector. Alongside this, the number of vehicles that require static calibration in our fitting centres continues to increase. These changes are the key factors driving our strategy to provide fitting centres with leading edge technical capability, backed by increased working space and comfortable settings for our customers.

“Working closely with our insurance partners in insurance and fleet, we will continue to provide the smart solutions our customers demand,” said Andy.
