Ensuring our teams around the UK are up to date with the best possible health and safety guidance is a fundamental priority for our organisation.
This is why we are delighted to report on our successful ‘Health & Safety Week’ last week, where our Health & Safety team led engaging activities around the UK focused on developing knowledge and awareness about safe working practices in our workshops.
The week involved working with our teams on subjects such as:
✅ Best Practice: Sharing best practice and success stories, helping to foster and develop our culture of health and safety.
✅ Learning and Development: Training sessions and workshops, equipping staff with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure safe working environments.
Including:
✅ Manual Handling
✅ Keeping safe on the road
✅ PPE
✅ Safe behaviours in the workplace
Illustrating the importance of employee safety and wellbeing in the company, Peter Watters commented:
"National Windscreens places health and safety at the heart of everything we do. In our sector, where teams deliver excellent customer service, working with glass, specialised tools and equipment, prioritising safety isn’t just a formality it’s a core value.
"Our commitment to health and safety serves several key purposes; it ensures our employees can perform their jobs confidently, knowing that every necessary precaution has been taken to protect their wellbeing and, by investing in rigorous training programs, quality personal protective equipment and clear operational guidelines, we’re fostering an environment where staff feel secure and valued."
Health and Safety Manager, Catherine Blackmore, was also encouraged with the progress being made, commenting:
"This week was a great opportunity for everyone in the business to engage with health and safety and we’ve had a great response to the initiatives. We will continue to drive the key topics of the week across the business with a focus on health & safety in every aspect of our work, every day."
