Fix Auto UK has forged a new partnership with National Windscreens to provide its repairers with instant access to the latest ADAS calibration systems.
Complementing significant investments in ADAS calibration technology already made by Fix Auto franchisees, the agreement follows a £2million investment in the latest equipment and training by National Windscreens encompassing all of its 108 centres.
Centrally managed by Fix Auto UK’s Leicester-based head office, the collaboration ensures the repair process involving vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assisted Systems will be as seamless and as swift as possible.
The partnership has been forged by repair industry consultants Industry Insights through its Connected Solutions services.
Ian Pugh, of Fix Auto UK, said: “Our new partnership with National Windscreens ensures every repair centre in our network will be accommodated by National Windscreens’ expertise using the latest calibration systems needed to complete the repair process. Our franchisees will be able to return vehicles back in their customers’ hands as quickly as possible.”
Ian added: “With more and more cars being equipped with the latest ADAS technology, there are occasions when a repair process can be slowed through no fault of a repairer. Prior to this new partnership, our franchisees without the necessary technology have little choice but to turn to their local main dealer to recalibrate vehicles and this can add weeks to the process. The cost implications, particularly for our insurer clients, can easily mount up. In partnering with National Windscreens’ network, we will avoid this scenario.”
Peter Marsden, Managing Director at National Windscreens, said: “With the majority of ADAS enabled vehicles requiring calibration to be undertaken in workshop conditions, we are committed to providing windscreen replacement and calibration in one visit to any of our 108 locations around the UK. We are delighted that Fix Auto customers will now be benefiting from our market leading service, which provides calibration according to the Thatcham code of practice and gets vehicles back on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible. ”
Steve Thompson, of Industry Insights, said: “We are delighted we have been able to connect Fix Auto UK and National Windscreens in the delivery of ADAS recalibration nationally. This will enable Fix Auto franchisees to further delight their customers by reduced cycle time and a more cost effective solution. This partnership delivers on the core objectives of Connected Solutions by delivering an enhanced customer journey with greater efficiency and value for all concerned.”
