Today, the team at National Windscreens is celebrating International Women’s Day! Each year, March 8th gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible efforts of our female colleagues; contributions that improve the standard of the business and generate satisfaction for our customers.
This year's theme for International Women's Day is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ and it presents an opportunity for us to reflect on the progress we've made towards gender equality. To ‘Inspire Inclusion’ means to celebrate diversity and empowerment on International Women's Day 2024 and beyond.
We have photographed some of the team in their IWD t-shirts from Workwear Express this week, with the #InspireInclusion pose to highlight the value of their roles in the business. Female representation in the head office function has been long established, we are delighted that this is now being matched in the fitting operations with both female technicians and branch managers. There is still work to be done and we recognise that one of the key pillars of ‘Inspire Inclusion’ is the promotion of diversity in leadership and decision-making positions.
Our operations superstar, Katy Deyes, was recently interviewed by Automotive Glass Experts (AGE) and shared how she had been given the opportunities to grow, and how she embraced challenges throughout her career.
National Windscreens is dedicated to providing opportunities to everyone in the company, regardless of gender. By offering career pathways to colleagues, we harness the talents of each individual which benefits the wider team. We are fortunate to work with so many exceptional women who will continue to develop and inspire the people around them, both inside and outside of National Windscreens.
