Today is International Men's Day (IMD), a day observed annually to recognise the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and their communities. It also aims to promote positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.
International Men's Day aims to:
- Improve Men's Health: Focusing on mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
- Promote Positive Role Models: Highlighting the contributions of men to society.
- Address Gender Equality: Advocating for better relations and respect between genders.
- Raise Awareness About Men's Issues: Spotlighting challenges like mental health struggles, suicide rates, and workplace fatalities.
- Celebrate Contributions: Appreciating the efforts of men in nurturing families, communities, and workplaces.
The theme for this year is “Positive Male Role Models,” and it's great to know that we have many of these within our business. Men who, despite facing various challenges, still perform day in and day out while being great role models for their families, friends, and colleagues.
