National Windscreens continues to expand its UK network with the opening of a purpose designed, 4,600 square feet fitting and calibration centre in Luton. The location has been strategically chosen in a densely populated area with high demand for vehicle glass repair, replacement and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration.
With EU legislation requiring all new vehicles to be equipped with ADAS, demand continues to grow for workshop based ADAS recalibration following windscreen replacement. This new centre is designed to meet that demand, with four fitting and calibration bays, complete with specialist LED lighting that facilitates use of the latest ADAS calibration technology by highly trained technicians.
Stuart Boon, managing director of National Windscreens, discusses the new site with the team at Luton.
Every aspect of the operation has been designed to deliver the best possible customer experience. This includes extensive customer parking with EV charging points and a dedicated waiting area with facilities for customers to work while they wait for their vehicles.
Operations Director Andy Rae describes the customer-focused approach:
"Our Luton centre is part of our UK wide strategy to deliver fitting and calibration centres that set new standards for customer experience in this sector. Minimising customer wait times by expanding the number of vehicles that can be worked on at any one time is the starting point for great service. Providing customers with spacious waiting facilities and Wi-Fi ensures they can be comfortable and productive. Our customers want a dealership style experience, and we are delivering on that.”
