National Windscreens will open a new fitting and calibration centre in Leicester on 15th August, maintaining the impetus of the wider strategy to deliver on the increased demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration from customers. The facility will also feature the new training base for the UK, teaching new starters along with development for experienced technicians to provide the skills and knowledge required for ever more complex new vehicles.
Richard Field, regional operational manager, said: “The company has invested heavily in the latest ADAS calibration technology in a much larger facility than we had in Leicester previously with hot desk working facilities and EV charging for customers use.”
Will Clay, regional operations director, comments: “Leicester has always been a key area for National Windscreens so investing in a new centre was a straightforward decision. Leicester is the ideal place to have the new regional training centre due to its central location within the UK.
“The continual improvement programme at National Windscreens is committed to understanding the constantly evolving nature of ADAS technology. The training centre in Leicester will become a crucial hub of shared learning and will help to ensure the fitters possess the latest information about ADAS and how the technology will continue to affect windscreen repair and replacement,” concludes Will.
