Operators are being invited to the National Windscreens stand at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2018, running from 24th to 26th April, to discuss the increasing use of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
A team from National Windscreens will be at the company’s stand (4D50) at the NEC, Birmingham, to discuss how the company is meeting the exacting requirements of vehicle manufacturers for calibration of windscreen mounted ADAS cameras following a windscreen replacement.
After investing more than £2 million in ADAS technology across its network of 108 fitting and calibration centres in the UK, National Windscreens has become a world leader in the calibration of ADAS cameras, a technology that is seeing significant growth within all types of vehicle.
With at least 40 per cent of all vehicles in the UK predicted to have ADAS fitted by 2020, many of these will be cars and light commercial vehicles, according to National Windscreens.
“It’s vitally important that ADAS technology is calibrated correctly when windscreens are replaced. It is not a ‘fit and forget’ technology,” said Alistair Carlton, technical manager at National Windscreens.
“Our team of experts at the CV Show will be on hand to explain why this is and to discuss how National Windscreens can work with them in providing windscreen replacement and ADAS calibration in one visit, getting the vehicle back on the road as quickly as possible with minimum disruption.”
National Windscreens provides windscreen replacement and ADAS calibration in one visit through a nationwide network of 108 fitting and calibration centres.
Visitors to the show are also reminded to call at the stand in order to enter a competition to win a thrilling experience driving a Radical SR3 RS around one of the UK’s most famous circuits at Silverstone, Brands Hatch or Donington Park.
