There is no limit to the type of glazing jobs undertaken by the highly skilled specialist glazing technicians at National Windscreens, as this recent project demonstrates!
National Windscreens was asked to replace two pieces of polycarbonate glass for a fibreglass boat which was safely moored on Loe Beach in Feock, Cornwall.
The glass was cut and fitted on site in under three hours by specialist glazing technician, Mark Vallis who said, “Working in the specialist glazing division means you never know what your next challenge might be, which is why this role is so different from any other. With the extensive and comprehensive training in the use of safety equipment we are well equipped to take on these jobs and it does make the work very interesting!”
Our specialist glazing team is no stranger to cutting and fitting glass on site for a wide range of vehicles - recent jobs have included fitting glass to the cab of a crane 80 feet above the ground at the Bristol Port Company docks, replacing a three x two metre windscreen weighing in at over 100kg for a Neoplan Starliner Coach with the help of SUMO lifting equipment, climbing up the side of a tower in Bath to fit a pane of glass to a clock, and even fitting cab glass to a locomotive shunter in a quarry.
National Windscreens’ specialist glazing team fits all types of glass to all kinds of vehicles, including plant & agricultural and bus & coach, as well as offering a panel van conversion service.
