Suzie Fanning has been appointed to the regional sales team at National Windscreens with responsibility for Scotland and Carlisle. Suzie’s progress has been phenomenal since joining the business in 2018, where she started in administration before taking charge of the glass distribution centre in Scotland prior to managing three fitting centres.
Suzie comments: “I am excited to be looking after the regional sales in Scotland and Carlisle. I am already comfortable in the role as I have got many relationships established with key contacts across the areas. It is a new chapter in my career, and I am relishing this opportunity to work with the regional sales team and deliver solutions for our customers.

“My time at National Windscreens has been filled with opportunities to learn and grow, and working across the business has given me valuable insights into the repair and replacement industry. The experience has given me a deep understanding of the logistics of vehicle glass, and the importance of our relationships with customers and suppliers.
“Before joining National Windscreens, I had 15 years of experience in sales and insurance. After the business I worked for went into liquidation, I contacted Andy Rae, who was the National Windscreens regional director for Scotland at the time and started in the administration team. A year later, the distribution centre opened near Glasgow, and I successfully applied for the role of manager and stayed there for two years, learning about the logistics and operations of the industry.
“However, I knew I could improve the efficiency of the fitting centres. I was given the opportunity to look after the Aberdeen branch for a couple of months, and although I did not know the technical details of windscreen repair and replacement, I had some fantastically knowledgeable colleagues to lean on.
“Following my time in Aberdeen, I was given the responsibility of managing the Glasgow and Kilmarnock fitting centres. It was a challenge having two different locations, but I had two excellent teams I could rely on delivering for the customer. I focused on managing the performance of my teams and streamlining the operations of the fitting centres.
“My assistant manager, Steven Newton was instrumental in the success of Glasgow and Kilmarnock. I am grateful to everyone at National Windscreens that have helped me in my six years with the company,” said Suzie.
Mark MacKenzie, UK regional sales manager, said: “Suzie has made a big impression in her six years at National Windscreens, and we are thrilled to have her as part of the team. She is an immensely capable individual and I look forward to seeing her develop in her role. I am confident our experienced team can utilise her knowledge to drive further growth across the UK.”
